12. Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, 1994 Olympics
One of the most talked about scandals in Olympic history, American figure skater, Nancy Kerrigan, was brutally attacked, hindering her ability to compete during the 1994 winter Olympics. It was soon revealed that the attack was led by the husband of long-time rival, Tonya Harding. Harding was later banned from the Olympic sport after confirming she knew of the attack and did nothing to stop it from happening.
