Even More Findings

Even with all the deaths, and the legend behind one more person needing to fall to their own fate, the searching did not stop. A man named Robert Dunfield discovered a huge space below the pit’s limestone, and another man, Daniel C. Blankenship, found iron scissors, which were apparently 300 years old and could be traced to Spanish explorers. A heart-shaped stone was also discovered. Soon, new technology would be used to further the long search.
