Next stepped in a father and son duo in the late 50s. With all odds against them, the pair made a huge discovery when they found a rock with “1704” written on it. In turn, the entire family relocated to the island so they could finish what they started. Sadly, about 5 years later, the father’s dream ended when he inhaled carbon monoxide and died in the pit.
