A Worker’s Death

Fast forward to 1861, and it was now the Oak Island Association who tried to uncover the mystery. However, they failed to find anything substantial and sadly lost a worker along the way. While trying to drain the water with new pumps, a boiler burst and killed one of the workers. It seemed like nothing went in the company’s favor, and the story of the worker’s death only led to ghost stories, a warning to anyone else who wanted to come and explore…
