Gladiator
Gladiator is the story of general Maximus Decimus Meridius, who is betrayed by his emperor and sold into slavery. He works his way up the ranks in the gladiatorial arena and eventually gets revenge on those who betrayed him. Some of the most intense scenes in this film take place within the fighting arena. Gladiators not only had to fight men with swords but wild animals and men on chariots. In one fight scene a chariot is flipped over, and the gas tank (which clearly weren’t around in ancient times) used to run the chariot is shown.
