Here is a photo of a French woman, Blanche Monier, who was held captive for over 25 years during the late 1800’s. Forced to live in filth, pests and her own feces, she was discovered in 1901 after an anonymous tip was sent to an Attorney General in Paris. Oddly enough, she was found in a home in an extremely wealthy neighborhood.
