Just months after completing the filming of his Academy Award winning role as the Joker in The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger was found dead by his housekeeper on the floor of his SoHo apartment. An autopsy concluded that Ledger’s death was due to an overdose of a mixture of prescription drugs. The beloved Australian actor was only 28 years old and left behind a daughter with former wife and actress, Michelle Williams.
