John Lennon

Famous singer of the legendary Beatles, John Lennon died at 40 years old when he was fatally shot outside of his New York home.  Sustaining 4 major gunshot wounds to the back, Lennon was pronounced dead before he even made it to Roosevelt Hospital.  His killer, Mark David Chapman, claimed to have killed Lennon by “the will of God,” and remained at the crime scene reading the famous novel, “Catcher in the Rye” until the police arrived to arrest him.
